Penweddig is a Welsh Medium 11-18 Comprehensive School in Aberystwyth, Wales. Penweddig school will be celebrating its 50th birthday in September. Penweddig’s catchment area is Aberystwyth and its surrounding rural villages with its sixth form having intake from further afield. The school has approximately 620 learners ages 11-18. Approximately half of the pupils come from non-Welsh speaking backgrounds and 34% of pupils are on the Additional Learning Needs register.
